Khambatta Dance Company

Dance Works for Everyone

Art for All

Inventive and physically demanding movement combines with split second timing and athletic partnering to form Khambatta Dance Company’s compelling works addressing relatable contemporary themes for all audiences.

Articulated animal movements draw parallels to strange, beautiful and everyday human behavior.
Strange Animals
(2022)
How do we meet again post pandemic. Do we touch or not touch, do we look at each other or not, Do we connect or avoid. Half way through this piece time seems to warp, as if an eternity happened in a second and we are all walking through molten lava. Will we come together or not?
Damaged Goods (2022)
Bending over backwards and contorting ourselves into oblivion as we try to move forward into the future. A circus of options awaits us yet we haven't found how to make life fit our needs yet. Are we making progress or just running the rat race?
Now What?
(2023)
The stage opens with rumbling- a visceral soundscape with a sole dancer standing amidst an avalanche of bodies sliding by. Growing to a feverish pique of athleticism, the movement reflects a catastrophe in progress. Is this self-created or a natural disaster?
EarthQuake (2019)
Inspired by KDC artistic director's interviews from people around the world, it depicts transition as the world's cultures, societies and the environment itself transform - revealing human identities and relationships altered.
Endangered Species (2018)
